Cassandra Hand-Gallegos has served the insurance claim industry since 1989.  She currently serves as CEO/President and Chief Claims Officer of CCMS & Associates, in which she founded. Throughout her career, she has directly handled and managed all aspects of the claim process. Her expertise and skills in claim operations and management has assisted carriers, independent adjusters and third-party administrations in continually delivering high customer service ratings.

Cassandra’s experience as a Claim Executive specialist in loss management, risk management, operations, executive analysis and strategic solutions deliver results to start-up and growth organizations. Cassandra’s years of experience as a carrier C-Suite Executive, IA Firm Director, and Entrepreneur, together with her unique vision of claims management will be shaping this industry for years to come.

Cassandra obtained her Associate in Claims designation from the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society in 2001. She is an advocate of the property and casualty insurance industry and has served as Chairman for the Claim Committee for Florida Property & Casualty Fraud Task Force.  She is a licensed adjuster and Continuing Education Provider approved by the State of Florida and Texas.

Hernando Gallegos, CFE
Chief Operations Officer

Since joining the property and casualty insurance industry in January 2008, Hernando Gallegos has cultivated experience in the Agency, Claims and SIU sectors of the industry. He currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer of CCMS & Associates.

As one of the founders of CCMS & Associates, Hernando’s valuable experiences in Commercial Aviation Damage Assessment, Equipment Breakdown, Hull and Residential & Commercial Construction, as well as Information Technology makes him an integral part of the company’s rapid success. Hernando holds multi-state claim adjusting licenses, Florida Private Investigator license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.

Hernando is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Thomas M. Moncello, LPCS
Vice President- Strategic Client Relations

Beginning his insurance industry career in 1996, Thomas has accumulated extensive insurance industry claims experience including residential, commercial property and casualty lines. Prior to joining CCMS & Associates as Vice President, Strategic Client Relations, Thomas had experience from both the National Carrier and Independent Adjuster/ TPA firm perspective.

His experience in perfecting process, procedure, and protocol throughout the claims handling process has proven to be a valuable asset, enhancing the quality of product offered to the client.  Thomas’ critical thinking drives focused solutions to meet our client’s needs.

Thomas holds multiple insurance industry designations as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Florida State University.

Bill Hallinan
Director of Claims

Beginning his insurance career in 1993, Bill has worked on both the TPA and carrier side, gaining extensive experience in commercial and residential property large loss, fire investigation, complex and catastrophe claims. Bill’s prior experience in risk management and quality control supports the basis of excellence seen throughout our claim staff.

Since joining CCMS & Associates, Bill has been promoted to Director of Claims where his vast claims know-how, in conjunction with his desk and field experience, makes him a valuable leader and mentor to the entire CCMS team. Bill’s expansive CAT management experience throughout North America drives CCMS’ catastrophe team efficiencies.

Bill graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics. He previously held a Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) certification.

Marie Wiggins
Director of Commercial Claims and Quality Assurance

With over 30 years of commercial claims experience, Marie was charged as AVP of Claims for a North American carrier with operational delivery of services for many commercial and residential property and liability exposures including: Construction Defect, Large Loss, Litigation, Builders Risk, Equipment Breakdown and Inland & Ocean Marine. Marie brings innovative structure to deliver efficient and quality commercial claim handling. Her responsibility for international risk management and reinsurance allows for technical oversight as well as compliance assurance.

Marie currently serves as the Director of Commercial Claims and Quality Assurance, bringing executive level experience and know-how to the CCMS Team. Her vast experience helps us to create, implement and calibrate audit programs to drive CCMS’ quality assurance program, thus leading to file quality consistency and efficiency.

Marie graduated from Southern Connecticut State University.

Alex Gallegos
Digital Transformation Leader

Joining the claim industry in 2012, Alex brings a digital approach to CCMS & Associates’ claim investigation. Alex utilizes an analytics-first data strategy driving transformation of claim services.  Alex has deep experience in legal handling of subrogation claims handling, working directly with a notable defense law firm in the past. His Claim Management experience includes daily residential and commercial oversight and development of new claim response programs.

Alex attended DeVry University studying Simulation and Game Programming.  He is currently enrolled in MIT Sloan School of Management – Artificial Intelligence Implementation for Business Strategy. He heads CCMS’ digital transformation team and data analytics programs.
